EVENT: Race Injustice & Grace with Leroy Evans

How does an innocent Black man wrongly convicted by a White jury and imprisoned for 42 years keep his faith? Please join us at 7 pm Tuesday, June 13, at St. John Chrysostom in Wallingford for a very special evening with Leroy Evans of Chester, freed in September in a 1980 killing he did not commit. Mr. Evans will be joined by his wife and the attorney who secured his release. Hear his story, ask questions, and stay after for fellowship and hospitality. A freewill offering will benefit Mr. Evans and his family. Presented by the St. Martin de Porres-St. John Chrysostom Joint Ministry on Racial Justice.

Please note: We would greatly appreciate your help in publicizing this very important event. Please share this announcement and invitation widely. A copy of the flyer is attached. If you would like a 20” x 30” poster of the flyer for your organization or parish, please let me know.

Thank you, and please continue to pray for all of those who are unjustly incarcerated.
